The Arboretum Outreach Assistant provides program support to the Arboretum staff by developing outreach materials for the Carleton and Northfield Communities. The Outreach assistant will help with assisting with fact checking and minor editing for the production of the History of the Arboretum book, website maintenance, create Facebook postings, posters for display at the Arboretum kiosk, advertising posters for events and photograph Arb events and projects. This position provides experience in research, writing and editing for students interested in a career in journalism or science communication. Knowledge of Word Press (web software) helpful but not required. Position is between 4-6 hours a week, to be worked during normal business hours (M-F, 8:30 – 6:00).

This job is for the entire academic year but applicants who are away for spring term are welcome to apply.
