Arb Volunteer Event - Invasive Shrub Control

Tue, July 22, 2025 • 6:00pm - 7:30pm (1h 30m) • Meet at the bridge over Spring Creek along the paved trail, just down from the Arboretum entrance at the intersection of Oak and Second Streets (819 Second Street East), near the Carleton tennis courts.

Help restore the forests of the Upper Arboretum by removing invasive shrubs including tree lilac, barberry, honeysuckle and buckthorn. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes and socks. Long sleeves recommended if the bugs are bad.  Cancelled if raining at or one hour prior to the start of the event. Contact Nancy Braker (nbraker@carleton.edu) with questions.
