Arb Volunteer Work Event - Aspen Control and Seed Collecting

Help maintain the prairies of the Arboretum by removing invading brush and seed collecting.  Aspen is easy to control when small, clipping and dabbing herbicide on the stems to keep the prairies free of invading trees.  About half of this event will be spent on aspen and the other half on collecting prairie seeds to plant in areas we are restoring.  The prairie is beautiful right now - come enjoy it with us! All required equipment is provided; we recommend long pants, closed toe shoes and socks and a long sleeved shirt for bug and sun protection.  Bring your water bottle.
