Arboretum Volunteer Work Event – Prairie restoration and management

Thu, September 26, 2024 • 5:00pm - 6:30pm (1h 30m) • Meet at the Arboretum office 710 Three Oaks Drive

Help with one or all of our summer Thursday evening events to help restore and manage the Arboretum prairies. These events will include projects such as control of invasive species, removing invading brush or seed collecting, depending on the needs that week.  The prairie is beautiful in late summer and fall - come enjoy it with us! All required equipment is provided; we recommend long pants, closed toe shoes and socks and a long-sleeved shirt for bug and sun protection.  Bring your water bottle.

Each week the project is announced a few days before to volunteers on our email list – be in touch with Lisa Falconer (lfalconer@carleton.edu) if you would like to be added to our list for regular updates.

Event Contact: Lisa Falconer

Repeats weekly on Thursday: Sep 26, Oct 3, Oct 10, Oct 17
