If you have previously studied Modern Standard Arabic, and would like to be placed into a Arabic course beyond 101, or be exempt from the entire Arabic language sequence to fulfill Carleton’s language requirement, you will need to complete a placement test.

You will be sent a preliminary indication of your level placement prior to registration. We will confirm this placement after a conversation with you in Arabic on campus, during New Student Week. If you have any questions before then, please contact Prof. Klein.
