Anna Guasco ’16 named Gates Cambridge Scholar19 February 2019
American Studies major Anna Guasco ’16 has been identified by the Gates Cambridge Trust as one of the 34 most academically outstanding and socially committed U.S. citizens, earning her a place in the 2019 class of Gates Cambridge Scholars at the University of Cambridge.
The American Studies program introduced five “thematic streams” to the major: Race, Ethnicity and Indigeneity; Democracy, Activism and Class; Space and Place; Production and Consumption of Culture; and America in the World (Migration, Borderlands and Empire).
