Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

On Friday, December 13, Carleton alumni, parents and friends will be among the first to see The Two Towers, the second film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, at a special screening of the film. The film opens nationally on December 18.

Again this year Barrie Osborne '66, producer of the trilogy, has given Carleton the opportunity to host a benefit pre-screening. The Two Towers will be shown on two screens in the new Block E-Crown Theatres complex at 600 Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.

There are two ticket options, both of which include a tax-deductible contribution to Carleton:

  • $200 tickets include an hors d'oeuvre buffet and cocktail reception with Producer Barrie Osborne '66 at the Marriott City Center (at 5 p.m.), followed by a screening of the film (7 p.m.) and a post-movie reception at Gameworks, a restaurant and entertainment spot at Block E; and a $140 tax deductible contribution to the Carleton Annual Fund.
  • $50 tickets include the screening of the movie (at 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m.), the post-movie reception at Gameworks and a $25 tax deductible contribution to the Carleton Annual Fund.

This event sold out on December 10. If you have questions about the event, please call the Alumni Affairs Office at 1-800-729-2586.
