1. Make a Reunion gift to Carleton before June 2018!

Unrestricted gifts to the Alumni Annual Fund are vitally important. You can choose to direct your gift within the AAF to specific areas, including financial aid, learning and teaching, student life, and the Carleton Athletic Initiative (CAI), or to the areas of greatest need. Gifts directed to the Carleton Athletic Initiative (CAI) support all aspects of physical education and recreation at Carleton, including 19 varsity and 25 club sports programs (this includes Rugby). Please give generously! But also remember that every gift — of any size — counts toward participation, and that’s important to Carleton. The AAF represents a community of alumni donors making a difference for current students.

Ways to give

  • The Online Giving Form: select Carleton Athletic Initiative as your designation
  • Mail: check (payable to Carleton College, with CAI in the memo line) mailed to: Carleton Gift Accounting, One N. College St., Northfield, MN 55057
  • Gifts of stock: see instructions for giving by stocks transfer

2. Consider Supporting the Rugby Founders Memorial Grove

A Founders Memorial Grove has been designed for the east side of the pitch. The Founders Grove will honor President John Nason ’26, Bill Hartley, and Pixie Newman ’78 with a planting of oak trees and a commemorative plaque. A tree celebrating the 2011 women’s club’s national championship is also included in the design.

Gifts to this initiative may be made either by check (mail to: Gift Accounting, Carleton College, One North College Street, Northfield, MN 55057. On the memo line or in an accompanying note, please indicate that the gift is part of the Rugby Founders Grove project) or in the online giving form (in the gift instructions box, please indicate that the gift is part of the Rugby Founders Grove project). To allow time for site preparation and planting, please send contributions by April 1, 2018. All gifts will be recognized in Carleton’s Annual Report on Giving. Please note, restricted gifts are not eligible for class/AAF credit.
