Heidi Welsh ‘88 is the founding executive director of the Sustainable Investments Institute (Si2), a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. Si2 closely follows shareholder resolutions, proposed by investor activists, and helps investors to make informed, independent decisions about their votes and views on these proposals. Learn about the surge in support for more disclosure and the factors that have driven this surge.

At Si2, Heidi oversees operations and research and was the lead author of several studies of corporate political influence. She graduated cum laude from Carleton, majoring in political science with a concentration in science, technology, and public policy. She holds a master’s degree from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University.
