Sinda Nichols ’05 returned to Carleton to direct the Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) on March 1 of 2020. From Academic Civic Engagement (ACE) courses to student-led community initiatives, the CCCE is a hub for experiential learning that contributes to more just, thriving, and sustainable communities. As the second director of the center, Sinda will share how the CCCE has been fostering civic agency at Carleton in the context of a pandemic, racial justice uprising, and tumult in our democracy.
