John Clapp '91 has spent his 30+ year career in and around the global electric power industry. John started as a management and economic consultant to utilities and power companies and worked on creating competitive power markets in the US. He then transitioned into banking and spent eight years as the Global Power Specialist at Citigroup in New York. He is now the CEO of one of the larger renewable energy developer/owner/operators in North America.

His presentation will examine the impacts of the Trump Administration on the renewable power industry and the potential repercussions on the cost of electricity and reliability of the grid.

John likes to ski, fly fish, and hike. He was a philosophy major at Carleton.
