Convocation with Michael Noble '77
A Climate Life Presentation -
Michael Noble has been a leader in the clean energy space for more than 30 years and is well known for shaping and driving significant and innovative public policy solutions that speed Minnesota and the Midwest's transition away from fossil fuels onto clean, carbon-free energy.
As Executive Director of Fresh Energy, Michael builds and catalyzes partnerships to secure new policies and harness market forces at the state and federal levels to achieve visionary change. At this moment in history, the Midwest region’s emissions remain incredibly high and as executive director, Michael guides Fresh Energy's work in the crucial role the organization plays in advancing emissions reductions in the region. With our electricity sector becoming cleaner as we generate more and more energy from carbon-free sources, now is the time to tackle top sources of carbon pollution in other sectors of our economy.
As a 1977 graduate of Carleton College, Michael's roots are in the Midwest and he's committed to building the clean energy community in our region. Michael was a founding board member of Clean Grid Alliance, Climate Generation: a Will Steger Legacy, Minnesota Environmental Partnership, Conservation Minnesota, and the Conservation Minnesota Voter Center, and was a founding member of RE-AMP.
