Tom was born on September 22, 1940. He graduated from St. Paul Academy in 1959. Tom entered Carleton as a freshman in 1959, but he left in January 1960 because of a broken leg suffered in a ski accident. He received credit for two of the classes he took in the fall of 1959. His plans were to return to Carleton as a freshman with advanced standing in the fall of 1960. Tom did return in the fall of 1960 and took classes in 1960-1961, 1961-1962 and in the first and second terms of 1962—1963, leaving Carleton in April 1963. He took more classes in the fall of 1963, but eventually withdrew from Carleton in January 1964.,br> After college, Tom lived in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. He was a Material Return Representative for The Bookman Company. Tom passed away peacefully after a short illness on January 30, 2019 with family at his side. Tom appreciated those who called and visited. He loved dogs, his cabin on a river in Canada and beautiful old things.
