Stephen Scott Holderman died Saturday, March 19, 2005, due to complications from heart disease. Steve was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, February 12, 1944.

He attended high school in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, where he attained his Eagle Scout rank and was class valedictorian. After some college, Steve decided to travel around the United States, living in Boston, New Orleans and San Francisco. He finally settled in Kirkland, Washington, in the late 60’s simply because he thought the NW was the most beautiful place he had ever seen. In 1984 he moved to Snohomish, Washington, where he lived until his death. He was very knowledgeable in history, music and fine food. Steve had many interests including high school and college sports (basketball) but most of all his favorite team, the Mariners – he worked at Safeco field for several seasons. He also enjoyed his fantasy league with Moss Bay. He coached his kids in little league baseball and SJAA basketball and was a baseball umpire.

He is survived by his children, Susan (Loic) Julien, Jake and Elizabeth; beloved grandson, Morgan; mother, Joann T. Holderman; sisters, Sue (John) Green, Wendy (Brian) Collins and Holly; one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredric “Jerry” Holderman.
