Stephen Mark Blacik, age 64, died peacefully on March 23 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, MN, after a long battle with multiple ailments. He was a man of prodigious intelligence, broad interests, and diverse talents. His motto was the Latin maxim, “De gustibus non est disputandum” (translated very loosely as ‘to each his own’). He was a dedicated father who made the most of every minute spent with his family. Preceded in death by parents, Magdalen and Raymond Blacik. Survived by loving daughters, Lauren and Erin Blacik; ex-wife and close friend Ann Hoagland; sister, Mary Helen (Donald) Dunlop; brothers, Raymond (Jean), Lawrence (Sharon), Michael (Judy), and Gregory; nieces, Dana, Rayanne, Amy, Emily, Aurore, and Victoria; many cousins, co-workers, and friends.
