Deceased: July 4, 2019

Sharon graduated from Great Falls Senior High School, Montana. She graduated from Carleton cum laude in English. She met her husband Bob Rudd at Carleton when modeling for one of his drawing classes.

The couple moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where Sharon wrote in 2014, “I have been a mother, a silversmith/jeweler, a teacher and a copy editor; and volunteered in libraries and environmental and art organizations.”

A life-long learner, Sharon studied Buddhism and traveled to India. She loved classical music, good literature and poetry. Wildlife was a special interest; she could identify birds at a glance. She also mastered the art of cooking.

She believed in human kindness and beauty. In her own words, “I’m trying, as Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, a Tibetan master, told us, to ‘Keep a good heart.’”
