Shari McCoul, of Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Washington, DC, died on September 11, 2008 at the age of 55 after living with cancer for five years (she never liked to battle). She grew up in Minneapolis and Albert Lea, Minnesota. After receiving a degree in art from Carleton College, she came to DC in the mid-70’s. During the 80’s her glittering, iconographic assemblages were shown at Gallery K, Addison Ripley and Wallace Wentworth. She suspended her career to raise three beautiful boys, Aubrey, Julian, and Robin who survive her along with her husband, Phillip Heil, all of Minneapolis, and her mother, Jean McCoul, of Klamath Falls, Oregon. She clearly brought wonders from the other side and returns with great memories and accomplishments. No services were held.
