Nancy Crow ’73

Nancy Crow

Class: 1973

Deceased: August 19, 1998

We remember Nancy as a stylish and cool blonde who arrived at our freshman Nourse quad
from Corpus Christi, TX. An artistic soul, Nancy took studio art classes and often had a
soundtrack playing in our dorm room; Kathy recalls Joni Mitchell albums, especially “Clouds,”
and Janet remembers “Music from Big Pink” by The Band. We can still picture Nancy crossing
the winter campus wearing her long wool coat, leather boots and a large fur hat (think Julie
Christie’s Lara in “Dr. Zhivago”). Nancy left Carleton sometime around our sophomore year,
and we lost track of her after that. We certainly hope she did well, and all agree that a 47-year
life is too short!
