Nancy (Carter) Svendsen ’65 W66

Nancy Carter Svendsen of Alexandria VA died October 5, 2007 at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center.  She had become ill while traveling in China on a Fulbright fellowship.  Nancy was an ESOL teacher at JEB Stuart High School and a member of AAUW and Delta Kappa Gamma, a teacher’s honor society.  Her husband Eric was a career diplomat, so they had lived in many foreign countries before settling in Alexandria.  Eric passed away in 2006.  Survivors include two children and two grandchildren.
