Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Louise Christine Stolle was born on May 6, 1906, to Gustav Adolph and Augusta (Walther) Stolle in Hecla, S.D. This is the area where she grew up and attended school. She attended Carleton College at Northfield, Minn., for two years before moving to Ashby, Minn. She later was employed by the John Morrell Meat Packing Plant in Sioux Falls, S.D., as a key punch operator. She went on to earn her Masters of Art Degree at the University of Minnesota, where she also helped in the dorm, assisting and directing. Returning to South Dakota, she taught mathematics for 16 years at Northern State Teachers College. After retiring from teaching, she continued to live in Aberdeen. She had been residing at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. Louise enjoyed traveling with her mother to various places. She traveled overseas several times visiting members of her father's family in Germany and elsewhere in Europe, which included much sight-seeing and meeting people. Grateful for having shared her life is her sister-in-law Pearl Stolle. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Stolle; and her godchild, Bernard Elsen. Casketbearers will be Bill Stolle, Ronald Elsen, Delbert Schwarting, Steve Oltman and Orland Lunzman.
