Laurence S. Gold, age 50, of Menomonie, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1951, in Eau Claire to Edward and Nina (Beebe) Gold. Laurence was raised in Chippewa Falls, graduated in 1969 from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in political science.
Laurence enjoyed both reading and writing science fiction and was active in the Democratic Party. He has resided in Menomonie the last six years.
Laurence will be sadly missed by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gold; his brother, Joe, his sister, Kathryn Bennett and her family; his canoeing buddies; and his many friends.
