John R. Wrage, 67 of Wilmington, died on January 9, 2018. John was born in San Francisco, California to Harry and Eleanor (Smith) Wrage. John graduated from Concord Carlisle Regional High School, Concord Massachusetts in 1968. Then, he received a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Carleton College. Most recently John was a software developer. He also had a career with General Electric and with ICI. John loved his family and spending time with them. He was beloved by his family, especially his wife Debbie, who cared for him with great love and affection. John will always be remembered and missed. A cherished memory is of John being named Baby of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle in 1951. John is survived by his wife Deborah Wrage of Wilmington, DE; daughter Heather Hoagland of Minneapolis, MN; brother Stephen Wrage (Alexandra) of Annapolis, MD; step-sons Stephen Haydt (Holly) and Michael Haydt; and 5 grandchildren, Robbie, Courtney, Sear, Isaac, and Anna.

    Good story about being baby of the year in San Francisco. He was a friendly, nice guy. Majored in Econ and graduated with us. He became a computer technology expert and had his own company with his wife Debbie in Wilmington, Delaware.
