My only regret is that we did not reconnect (despite promises to do so with each other) prior to your passing. I shall miss you, Buddy!

I’m of course very saddened by your unexpected passing earlier this year. I feel privileged to have had you as a classmate and friend! I will miss our deep discussions of all kinds of issues. It was very obvious that the points you would bring up came from deep thought and a brilliant mind!! I will miss our times together on my layovers in San Francisco, and I also really appreciated the love and respect you had for my Father Mitch!! May God Bless You!!!

    Dear Kvats:

I feel so remiss. having missed this event of a lifetime.
You were more than a personification of Carleton, You were a personification of Minnesota, I loved your presence, your mother's care packages, and your indomitable hospitality, not to mention your goal-keeping on the ice. We even worried about you on the roof watching the Northern Lights, but you never had any acciddents, Thank God.
Kvats, please know that I loved our times together and I love our memories. We will keep you in our hearts and will never forget the great times we shared.
Carry your love of life along with your vigor and your appetite for action with you to the next station. God Speed
Your friend for life and the hereafter,
    Chris Coan
