Donna married William W. Kolb in October, 1963. They had two daughters. She graduated with a law degree from the University of Texas in 1973. She worked as an attorney for Legal Aid in Austin, in Alaska, and in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She then worked as an attorney for prisoners at the federal prison in Marion, Illinois, and later for the Navaho and Hopi tribes in Arizona. In recent years she moved back to Austin, Texas to be near her daughters, Julia and Ellen and her two grandsons. Donna passed away December 1, 2016.
