Curtis received his angel wings suddenly and unexpectedly on June 17 in Portland, Oregon, while on vacation. He had a severe cold and allergies & an asthma attack – the trio was too much for his lungs to handle. We had just met up in Portland with some friends of his from Carleton (Elizabeth Wartluft and Deborah Wolfson) that he hadn’t seen since graduation. Many good stories were told of life since Farm House! We got to catch up with Alex Riera '86 while visiting Chicago last September, and we both enjoyed visiting Andrea Dawson in Santa Cruz recently, and Colleen White a few years back. Curtis had fond memories of seeing Mark Kline in Rapid City, SD, many years ago.

Curtis had just turned 60, but he mentioned to Kathryn a couple months earlier that if his life were to end prematurely for some reason, he was fully satisfied with it – he had lived a good, happy one and had no regrets. He is survived by Kathryn and his sister, Sharon Lum, in San Jose, CA.
