Best laugh ever.

-Linda Vest Klein ’76

I think I can safely say that the first time I met Carole there must have been laughter involved. It wasn’t just that Carole had a wicked sense of humor. It was that she had a laugh that could fill a room, a dorm, or even an entire campus. It was a joy to be around someone who truly appreciated the importance of a good laugh.

But Carole was much more than that. You would be hard-pressed to find a more generous spirit or someone who cared more about her friends and family. I still have two wedding gifts that Carole gave me over forty years ago (lasting far longer than the marriage itself), and I will always cherish the gifts – not for their material value but because of what Carole said when she explained why she had specifically chosen those gifts. There was careful thought behind everything she did, and that’s why the two gifts have not lost any of their beauty over the years.

Carole had a passion for life that she shared freely with all those around her. I couldn’t ask for more in a friend.
