After graduating from Carleton, Beverley married Richard Wilschke, Carleton Class of 1963, and moved to Maryland.  She earned a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Maryland School of Library and Information Sciences.

In addition to raising two sons, Beverly worked as the gifts and exchanges librarian for the university’s library, and later served as the cataloger for the Howard County (MD) library system until her retirement. 

Bev and Rich lived for 39 years in Columbia, MD, until her death in 2009.  Bev loved reading, working out at the gym, and playing with her two grandsons, who lived in Alexandria, VA. 

For many years she subscribed to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC. Bev was an avid museum-goer and long-time member of the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore.
