Nancy (as everyone knew her) was a great friend during freshman year—funny, smart, thoughtful. And part of the group that renamed me “Mike.” We were in Vern Bailey’s freshman seminar “Forms of Film” together during fall term. I believe she took some time off and graduated in 1975. I know she went to medical school after Carleton and was an infectious disease specialist (as Dr. N. Allison Nist) in Naples, FL until her untimely death.
