After graduation, I had no where to go until I began teaching at Carleton in September of 1971. Priscilla offered to take me with her to her Grandmother and Great-Aunt's home in Ohio (I think) for several weeks after graduation. We gardened and helped around the house. Her grandmother and great-aunt taught me to crochet. I made a beautiful white summer shawl, which I still use. I think of the loving generosity Cilla and her family expressed and the fun we had together when I wear it. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

I have been searching for some information on Cilla and her family. I knew her in Singapore and we kept in touch after we both returned to the US. But then, we lost contact. I remember her fondly as a wonderful and caring person. I'm glad to learn more details of her life, but also so sad to hear of her death.
