Okawa, Bette Ann beloved daughter of Hiroshi and Marianne S. H. Okawa, was born on March 5, 1954 and died on March 24, 2009 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. She is predeceased by her father Hiroshi, sister Holly Okawa Yung, uncles Harry K. and Tokiya Hamasaki and Kiyoshi Okawa, aunt Satoko Hamasaki, cousin Robert K. Hamasaki as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her mother and two brothers Kerry and Douglas, brother-in-law Henry K. Yung and two nephews Christopher and Jason Yung, aunts Bessie Okawa and Yoko Hamasaki, as well as numerous cousins and their children.
