In 1959 the College allowed the Carleton Student Association allocate the monies the College collected as a Student Activity fee. As CSA treasurer, Frank helped me with the transition and advised me on investments that were safe for the student body. He was a friend to me and the students on campus.
Frank was a superb role model: not only for Carleton alums, but for everyone fortunate enough to meet him. His enthusiasm for learning, for the intellectual opportunities available to students, for the endless variety of human experience, was absolutely unlimited. I shall always be grateful for the guidance he gave to Steele Stewart and me in our efforts, as Class Agents, to encourage the generous support of our classmates to benefit future Carls. Frank will be sadly missed, but warmly remembered.

Frank was an outstanding student and athlete and a treasured member of the class of 1950. His passing is a sad day for all who knew him.
