About the Speakers
Steve Richardson ’86, Director of the Arts, promotes the College’s arts initiative by building collaboration and discipline-based arts exploration, and by increasing the visibility of the arts as a vital part of the Carleton education experience.
Greg Marfleet is part of the Faculty in Residence program at the Weitz Center. An Associate Professor of Political Science, he will be working on politics in the media and visualizations of computational models. His courses include International Relations & World Politics, Methods of Political Research, Complexity in Politics, and American Foreign Policy. Prof. Marfleet is the coordinator of the international relations track and the director of Carleton’s Political Economy concentration.
Ruth Weiner is the Class of 1944 Professor of Theater and the Liberal Arts. She earned her B.S. and M.A. from the University of Wisconsin. Ruth teaches acting, directing and contemporary theater, and is also a faculty director of Players productions. This spring 2012, Ruth Weiner will collaborate with the Judith Howard, professor of dance, to present The Oresteia, a trilogy of Greek tragedies.
