As today’s job market continues to fluctuate, Carleton is focused more than ever on helping students chart their career path. Join Career Center director Laura Hartpence to hear how Carleton, with the recent launch of a new strategic direction for the Career Center, is strengthening its support for students throughout their four years and beyond.

Laura Hartpence is the director of Carleton’s Career Center. Before coming to Carleton in 2024, she worked in career services at Colgate University for nearly a decade and was instrumental in the successful design and implementation of the university’s Four-Year Career Development Plan. At Colgate, she also helped engage more than 1,000 alumni volunteers annually in support of student career development, leading to a record level of student engagement. She is a graduate of Denison University.
