Celebrate, Engage, & Connect

The strength and resilience of the Class of 2022 has been truly admirable while you have tackled rigorous academic work, coped with the many unknowns brought about by the pandemic, and missed so many of the traditions that are hallmarks of the Carleton experience. We aim to honor and acknowledge all that you have achieved and overcome this year and in the past four years. We look forward to celebrating you throughout Senior Week and commencement day as you transition to become members of our alumni community.

The Senior Week schedule has a variety of activities designed to provide opportunities to celebrate, engage, and connect with your classmates. Please see below for the activities scheduled Monday-Saturday.

Monday, June 6 | Tuesday, June 7 | Wednesday, June 8 | Thursday, June 9 | Friday, June 10 | Saturday, June 11

12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. BUBBLE SOCCER, Bald Spot
A fun twist on a classic sport. In this 5-on-5 soccer game, students play while inside inflatable bubbles! Students will be bouncing after the ball and off of each other. The rules for the game are the same as normal soccer. There’s no touching the ball with your hands, even though you are encased in a bubble. Build your “dream team” of 5 in advance, or just show up to be placed on a team.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. INTRAMURAL GAMES, Recreation Center
(outdoor and indoor activity options).  Last Chance to win that IM Champion T-shirt!

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. BUCKET LIST BOULDERING and CLIMBING, Recreation Center
If you have yet to boulder or climb, there is no better time than today to cross it off your bucket list!

5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. SENIOR CLASS PICNIC DINNER, Bald Spot
The dining halls are closed to seniors this evening. You began your culinary experience at Carleton with a picnic dinner during New Student Week, so we thought it would be appropriate to have another just before Commencement. There will be a variety of delicious food. Senior Week wristband required. Rain back-up: LDC

8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. SENIOR WEEK COMEDY SHOW, Little Nourse Theater
Join the comedy seniors one last time for a show in Little Nourse! Queens of Comedy, Cujokra, and Lenny Dee come together for a senior week show.

9:30 p.m. OUTDOOR MOVIE, Space Jam, A New Legacy, Bald Spot
Space Jam, A New Legacy, is a 2021 American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee. It is a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Space Jam and stars NBA player LeBron James, as well as Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green. The film also features the Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, and Daffy Duck.
