Summer Greetings!
Welcome to the second edition of the 50th Reunion Newsletter. Have you been blistered by this summer’s heat? Hopefully, next June the weather in Northfield will be more pleasant for our Reunion. The Reunion committees have been busy on multiple fronts. The Program Committee sent out a survey for your input on potential program topics and events. The Gift Committee has begun making calls and chosen our class gift purpose. The Outreach Committee has been connecting with classmates in hopes of generating interest in the Reunion, in addition to producing this newsletter. The Alumni office has been busy too, coordinating the committees and sending out a “save the date” postcard. (We trust you received yours. If not, contact 50threunion@carleton.edu.)

Help! We Need Your Suggestions, Thoughts, and Ideas.
Your response to “Songs of Our Carleton Days” has been terrific! We already have an extensive “hit list,” but keep those suggestions coming! Thoughts about the Reunion program can be submitted to Program Committee chairs Doug Warren and Herb Crawford via 50threunion@carleton.edu. Finally, we would welcome more essays for future newsletters. Send your ideas to Mary Mekemson at mjmekemson@gmail.com.

Last Call for Award Nomination Ideas
Fellow ’75ers have already suggested a number of classmates who they believe are deserving to be nominated for an alumni award at our 50th reunion. The deadline for submissions has been extended to August 19, so please keep the names coming. The award categories are Distinguished Achievement, Exceptional Service to Carleton, and the ‘C’ Club Hall of Fame. For nomination criteria and more info, visit go.carleton.edu/awards.
