Farewells Along the Way

Remembering Our Deceased Classmates

As of this writing, 59 of our classmates have passed away since we graduated in 1974, and we are making plans to honor and remember them in several ways. There will be a memorial service during reunion weekend for our classmates who are no longer with us. We plan to include information about each person along with photos in the bio book that will be printed and distributed for the reunion. We can use your help as we try to gather stories and cherished memories of those classmates who are gone.

One album on our “Carleton Memories” Flickr site is titled “Farewells”, and it contains a series of “We Remember” slides for all our lost classmates for whom we have been able to locate photos and personal memories. Several more remain unfinished at this point, and we would be grateful if you have any favorite photos, anecdotes, or personal memories to share about these classmates. You can use this e-mail address to send any information or photos for use with this project: 50threunion@carleton.edu. A complete list of deceased classmates for whom we still need tributes can be found by clicking here.
