Our 50th Reunion is a time for each of us to celebrate our longstanding connections and commitment to each other and to Carleton. We look back with gratitude for rigorous and caring faculty mentors, curricular and co-curricular activities that stretched our boundaries, and the idyllic beauty of campus. We seek not only to give back, but also to shape and strengthen our alma mater for today’s generation of students.
Guided by Carleton’s aspiration of being an accessible and affordable institution that draws the most talented students from across all backgrounds and income levels, we have established two special initiatives:
- The Class of 1974 Endowed Scholarship will expand access to a Carleton education for students from the highest need backgrounds. All gifts and pledges made by May 31 to support our class scholarship will be matched dollar-for-dollar TWICE, magnifying the impact of our 50th gifts.
- Gifts to our Class of ’74 Fund also enable the construction of Carleton’s new Class of 1974 Center and support Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) on campus. Securing a permanent facility for SHAC is long overdue and will help Carleton address increased demand for physical and mental health support services. The Class of 1974 Center will be named in our honor.
There are many ways to give to 1974’s Class Fund – or to another college need that strikes a chord for you – and your gift committee volunteers are knowledgeable guides. We hope the resources on these pages will help you think about how you can support our Class Gift and Carleton.
Carleton staff are also on hand to assist with 50th giving:
- Sarah Forster, Director of Milestone Reunions – 866-208-3889
- Kelly Rowan, Senior Development Officer – 866-208-3889
Thank you for coming together to celebrate our 50th Reunion with a truly momentous Class Gift for Carleton!
