CAVE (the Carleton Alumni Volunteer Experience) brings volunteers together for training, planning, and camaraderie. The success of Carleton’s Reunion and Alumni Annual Fund programs is directly related to the time and energy volunteers spend at CAVE.

While the state of Minnesota has seen promising trends in vaccination rates and reduced regulations for group gatherings, Carleton is proceeding with caution for on-campus summer programming. Carleton’s top priority is the safe return of students in Fall 2021. Though we are eager to welcome alumni back to campus after a year of virtual programming, we’ve made the difficult decision to host CAVE virtually for 2s/7s reunion committees in August 2021.

This year’s programming will look different in several ways:

  1. Official CAVE programming will be exclusive to 2s/7s reunion teams. AAF volunteers will receive more information about the year ahead from the AAF Office in the months to come.
  2. All reunion committees and AAF volunteers are invited to a Fiscal Year 2022 Kickoff. Volunteers are encouraged to attend a Fiscal Year 2022 kickoff on August 20, 2021. This Zoom session will be a chance for everyone to gather and hear updates from administration and staff. We hope to introduce Carleton’s new president, Alison Byerly, as well!
  3. Reunion committees will have tailored planning. Each reunion committee will find its own times for socializing and goal-setting in August. Look for communication from your staff liaisons for planning details specific to your team.

Registration for the FY22 Kickoff will open in July. Watch your email next month for more details.
