We have a range of admissions programs to introduce you to Carleton. Whether you’d like to visit campus, or attend one (or more) of our virtual programs, we’ve got you covered.
In-person visit sessions will include both an information session and a campus tour. They will offer an introduction to Carleton’s academic programs, student life, and admissions process. We encourage you to explore campus beyond the tour, or to visit downtown Northfield, just a few blocks from campus. Pre-registration is required.
Virtual Information Session
Information sessions are also available as part of our virtual offerings via Zoom. You will similarly learn about Carleton’s academic programs, student life, and admissions process. In addition, there will be time for questions.
Live Virtual Tour
Join current students to see the places that make Carleton a community, not just a college. Sharing photos and stories, your tour guides will show you around and help you learn how campus and college resources contribute to the student experience. You’ll cover more ground than you thought possible in an hour! See you there! (Note, we recommend attending an online student information session and Q&A prior to the live virtual tour.)
Explore campus from your computer or mobile device through our newly launched virtual tour. See some of our favorite campus spots and watch videos showcasing Carleton traditions to help determine whether this might be the place for you.
We receive many questions about interviewing with Carleton. Students entering college in the fall of 2024 will be invited to interview after they complete either an in-person campus visit or virtual tour or information session. Interviews are not required for admission to Carleton and you can read more about our interview process and request an interview here.
Conversations with Carls
Join current Carleton students for an informal conversation about their lives as Carls. Bring your questions and they will bring answers, anecdotes, and candor to these sessions. Sign up for one or many of these conversations to connect with current students to learn more about and from your potential future classmates.
Carleton collaborates with five other small liberal arts colleges (Amherst, Bowdoin, Pomona, Swarthmore, and Williams) to host a series of in-person and virtual events. Learn more and sign up on the Six Colleges website.
