Hello world,
This winter break is my final one. From now on, there are no vacations dictated by a college calendar. It’s kind of strange to think about, but I’m excited for my journey after graduation.
In December, I visited my grandparents in China. Then, I traveled to Taiwan. I toured Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hualien, Jioufen (pictured below), and Tainan. Jioufen is rumored to be the place that inspired Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. Spirited Away is one of my favorite Studio Ghibli movies, so I had to visit.
In January, my cover story for Southwest Metro magazine came out (you can read my interview here). I also ate some delicious Vietnamese food in the Cities, made wontons with my mom and sister, got cake (!!!) at Bravo! Bakery in St. Paul, and did a quick shoot with my talented friend, Peter Phung.
Peter did the makeup and photographed me. Here’s a BTS photo:
This term, I’m focused on getting through my senior thesis, graduating on time, applying to jobs, and generally prepping myself for life in New York. What are you goals for this winter and for the year?
Happy (slightly belated) 2020!
Eve
Hello hello! I’m Eve, a 20 y.o. Anthropology major and hybrid image maker. On campus, you can find me hauling around weird photo props in the Weitz, pretending to study in Sayles, lounging on 2nd Cassat, or boxing at the Rec. If you see me, don’t be shy… come over and say hi! Meet the other bloggers!
