T’was the Week After Midterm Break

Kamala talks about her long weekend and short week.

Kamala talks about her long weekend and short week.

Midwinter Ball

Over the long weekend we had a Midwinter Ball. Sayles and Burton Dining Hall were converted into dance floors and sectioned off for salsa dancing, swing dances and electronic dance moves created by student DJs. It was a fun excuse to dress up and felt a lot like a quirky high school prom!

A&I Reunion

Some of my classmates from my A&I seminar last term decided to meet up for dinner on the last day of the long weekend. We talked about how our terms had been so far and of course had to talk about our all time favorite movie from our A&I: BAHUBALI!

Side note: Over winter break I showed my family Bahubali and now they share the same love and appreciation as I do for its cheesy CGI and epic feats of strength.

Short Week

This week went by in the blink of an eye. I had a Spanish test on Wednesday and went to a lecture on Mahmoud and the Republican movement in Sudan for Sufism. In Intro to Sculpture, we talked about our final project and went on a tour of campus, stopping to analyze the architecture of Laird and other buildings across campus.

Short Week, short blog. See y’all next week!
