Hey Y’all!

I know it’s been a while but I’m back. This spring break I went back home to continue my tour of NYC. This time I was able to go to Dumbo, Brooklyn and Hudson Yards. Aside from touring the city I was just happy to be home. I was able to visit my high school and spend some time with my JROTC program. Additionally, I was able to sleep in bed all day, which felt weird, and eat good home cooked Caribbean food. Honestly, there was so much to do with so little time but I still made the most of it!

I learned about Dumbo during winter term and, after seeing how pretty the streets and views were, it became a must-see. While at home I contemplated the easiest and cheapest way to go to the city. I then choose the hardest way: driving! I don’t have enough fingers to count how many accidents I almost got involved in. That’s not even the worst part — parking! I know it’s hard to find parking in NYC, but this time was extremely ridiculous. Enough complaining. I finally got out of the car and started to walk around with my camera and honestly it was better than the pictures.

The next day I went to the Sculpture in Hudson Yards and guess what? I ran into Carls! Who knew people from a small Liberal Arts college would think to visit the same statue at the same time. Anyways, over break, I got to accomplish some personal goals. I updated my student profile on the directory and created a portfolio.

It’s been real!

p.s. Congrats to all the Carls that got in!
