Two historical Events That Happened Last Night!
- THE JONAS BROTHERS ARE BACK!! A day ago, the Jonas Brothers created a joint instagram account to promote the release of their new single Sucker. On their instagram account they posted the cover for the single and funny promo clips like A RECREATION OF THEIR “OH HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED” VINE!!! Last night, the Jonas Brothers finally dropped their single Sucker along with their much anticipated music video to go along with it. In the video, we are graced with Priyanka Copra (Nick Jonas’ wife), Sophie Turner (Joe Jonas’ fiancé), Danielle Jonas (Kevin Jonas’ wife) and CORGIS!
- Solange dropped her album, When I Get Home, on Apple Music and teased some beautiful music video clips on social media, proving once again that she is the hero we need, but don’t deserve.
Getting Artsy
I recently started watching a docuseries on Netflix called Abstract: The Art of Design and now I don’t know how to act. Each episode focuses on a icon in an industry (Illustration, Footwear Design, Stage Design, Architecture, Automotive Design, Graphic Design, Photography, and Interior Design). For example, they did an episode on Es Devlin who is a stage designer famous for her work with Beyoncé, Jay Z, U2, Kanye West, and many other artists.
What I found most interesting about the season was learning about the humble beginnings of some of the most famous artists in the world. After finishing the season, I started watching more artsy shows and movies like Social Fabric and a documentary on Minimalism. I started thinking about what I would want to pursue in an artsy field and am considering double majoring in Studio Art and something else, I’m not there yet.
I am currently working on my final project for Intro to Sculpture and found a small studio with two sewing machines in the Weitz Center for Creativity where I have been putting together a dress and having sew much fun! Hopefully, I will have some pictures to show for it next week on Keeping up with Kamala.
Peace, One Love,
