Nearing the End
Eve’s Week 8 is full of art and music.
Eve’s Week 8 is full of art and music.
Hello world,
Looks like a buzzing Week 8 full of art and music. This Thursday, a student drag showcase is showing at the Cave. Spring Concert, also known as “Sproncert,” plays on Saturday. As you may know, singer/rapper DRAM will be headlining — there will be food trucks, fun activities, and sunshine (hopefully).
This time of the term, deadlines are piling up, and I’m working on several projects simultaneously. The most exciting has proved to be my photo final project, inspired by Mary Ruefle’s “Kiss of the Sun,” Charli XCX and Hannah Diamond’s “Paradise” (produced by SOPHIE), and various other lyrical texts. In this series — as we near the end of the term — I’m interested in the space-time continuum and Mary Ruefle’s description of end of time. Here’s a preview:
Looking forward to the weekend.
Talk to you next week,
Eve
To the (initial) dismay of her parents, Eve is an aspiring fashion creative seeking to break the starving artist stereotype. When she isn’t drinking coffee at Sayles, the Minnesotan gal can be found wandering the Weitz, browsing memes at the Libe, or reinventing old recipes at Dacie Moses. On campus, she is involved in Firebellies, Karl-Pop, CSA, and Carleton Art Society, among other cool student organizations. Meet the other bloggers!
