Hello world,

What a beautiful, fun (if unproductive) weekend it’s been. It was the weekend of midterm break, and I got to spend time with so many of my friends.

On Friday, I had a difficult time at boxing (which isn’t a PE here at Carleton but something I love). It’s been a tiring term and boxing is such a male-dominated sport. I try to keep up with training here, but it feels like the boys get more attention from the coach. For the first time, I cried after practice — something I’ve never done, even when I sparred for the first time in New York. I think there was a lot of tension that built up from past microaggressions, and it felt good to let it all out.

After practice, I made glutinous rice balls filled with sesame paste and boiled in macadamia milk with some good friends. I also got to try some of the bread they baked with vanilla gelato, and the next morning we all went out for coffee/brunch at Brick Oven Bakery 🙂

On Saturday, I also got to spend quality time with my mom and my sister! We had fun browsing and buy vegetables and pastries at the farmers’ market. Peep some snapshots from the market below.

On Sunday, some friends and I went to the Mall of America. We drank bubble tea and one of my buddies almost copped a Cheetos jacket… see the look for yourself in the photo gallery below.

I had a ton of fun and now it’s back to working on midterms and group presentations! How was your weekend? Hope it was sunny, and here’s to a bright week ahead!

Stay warm,

Eve

Hello hello! I’m Eve, a 20 y.o. Anthropology major and hybrid image maker. On campus, you can find me hauling around weird photo props in the Weitz, pretending to study in Sayles, lounging on 2nd Cassat, or boxing at the Rec. If you see me, don’t be shy… come over and say hi! Meet the other bloggers!
