Chi offers an invitation to this year's international festival!

So we are halfway through Spring Term. I remember my fetus days when I was fresh out of High School and had completely no idea what to expect when I started attending Carleton College. Time really flies when you are having fun (granted, some people might disagree with me on this, but hey, I would still say that I had more fun than I expected at Carleton), especially when you are having fun with people of the same interest and background, working to help build a successful event that celebrates diversity at Carleton College.

So what’s to expect on the fifth week of Spring Term? Why, of course, why not join the Office of Intercultural and International Life at Carleton College for their annual international festival! Put together within a month by our excellent OIIL Peer Leaders as well as staff members of the Office of Intercultural and International Life, and with help from the Carleton Student Association, this festival is here to impress.

The theme this year is Cultural Kaleidoscope: Celebrating Multiculturalism at Carleton. Hosted at Sayles Great Space (can’t miss it) on May 4th, 2019, this festival features a spectacular range of international cuisine, music, live performances, cultural activities and more. So if you are one of those people who are all about that exotic stuff, this festival is definitely for you!

Carleton has always prided itself on being a very inclusive, welcoming, and diverse environment, and I am 100% sure that this will be a perfect opportunity for everyone to observe and acknowledge, as well as enjoy the multiculturalism that the college has thrived upon. Join us on Saturday for exciting events and good food, as well as good company, and learn a thing or two about other cultures.

Tickets on sale now (I’m just kidding this event is free. One more reason to swing by and enjoy our hard work)!

Chi is a self-proclaimed insomniac freshman zombie that always complain about not getting enough sleep, even though she deliberately goes to bed at 2am and wakes up spontaneously at 6am thanks to her roommate’s closet door. She constantly talks (obsessively) about how much she yearns to major in Chemistry and German, yet she’s starting to eye the awesome dark art that is called Geology with much desire. Meet the other bloggers!
