Hello world:

Carls are officially back from spring break! Over break, I was in California with my mom. We ate a lot of great food (see mango bingsu below with side of red bean from Sul & Beans; not captured: Korean BBQ, macarons, raspberry cold brew, affogato):

During my stay, I also collaborated on a test shoot with local stylists and makeup/hair artists, photographing a girl at Next Models.

Since returning on Monday, I’ve declared my major. I’ll be studying Sociology/Anthropology and I’ll shortly petition for my second major, Studio Art. This term, I’m taking introductory courses in statistics and anthropology (required for the SOAN major) and in psychology. I’m also registered for juried guitar lessons and am deciding if I want to keep Costume Design for Theatre. The latter is only 3 credits, but there is extra time required outside of classes, which meet twice a week. I’ll be occupied for three weekends in April as I’m helping out with the MSP Film Festival… My classes are less difficult this term, but if I don’t drop anything, I’ll be taking 22 credits – and I still have club tennis practices I would like to go to and other extracurricular commitments.

It’s only the first few days of spring term and things are already getting hectic (this is also true for my friends). At least it’s much warmer, though…

Till next week,
Eve

To the (initial) dismay of her parents, Eve is an aspiring fashion creative seeking to break the starving artist stereotype. When she isn’t drinking coffee at Sayles, the Minnesotan gal can be found wandering the Weitz, browsing memes at the Libe, or reinventing old recipes at Dacie Moses. On campus, she is involved in Firebellies, Karl-Pop, CSA, and Carleton Art Society, among other cool student organizations.
