April (Snow) Showers

As Minnesotans say, we’ve got two seasons — winter and construction!

As Minnesotans say, we’ve got two seasons — winter and construction!

Hello hello,

It’s already Week 4 and I’m shook. Last weekend, I began my intern position at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Film Festival. Last weekend, it also snowed like crazy (read more about the snow). Flights were cancelled, road markings were buried in snow, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that spring in Minnesota is a myth Like Minnesotans say, we’ve got two seasons — winter and construction. Love it!

In other news, I took my first psychology exam today. I’ve got a stats exam this Friday, too, and 300+ pages of reading, a problem set, and anthropology fieldwork, in between. Today, I’m also attending the Cultural Programming Board meeting (I recently found out that I will be serving as Co-President of Carleton’s Asian Students in America Club) to discuss club funding for next year and to plan for International Festival, which is coming up.

This week is a little rough since I got sick this weekend, but the snow is dying down. Hopefully your scenery gives off less winter wonderland vibes than mine. Here’s to a fruitful, creative, and warm(er) week!

Until next time,
Eve

To the (initial) dismay of her parents, Eve is an aspiring fashion creative seeking to break the starving artist stereotype. When she isn’t drinking coffee at Sayles, the Minnesotan gal can be found wandering the Weitz, browsing memes at the Libe, or reinventing old recipes at Dacie Moses. On campus, she is involved in Firebellies, Karl-Pop, CSA, and Carleton Art Society, among other cool student organizations.
