Come join one of Lucy's spring term Tuesdays!
Morning
Beep beep! “Welcome to Tuesday!” says my alarm as it goes off.
9:00 I wake up, think about what to wear because the weather is being indecisive these days — somewhere between winter and spring.
9:30 Dressed and ready to leave the dorm, I walk to Burton dining hall for my favorite egg station. It’s one of those days when you can order sunny side up eggs or omelettes. I eat my breakfast and leave for my first class.
10:10 I am at the Weitz Center for Creativity ready for my Digital Foundations class which is an introduction to film production class where we work in groups and independently to create short films.
11:55 Class ends and I head out. I see many other students on the roads and the chapel is playing a beautiful song on my way to lunch at the Language and Dining Center (LDC). Tuesdays and Thursdays are common lunch hours (common time) meaning that nobody has class during this time so you can see all your friends. I eat at the German lunch table, where everyone chats in German. The Language Associate and some German professors also join.
Afternoon
1:15 I leave the dining hall and head upstairs to my German 150 class that is taught in English. This class is called “The Sound of Germany: German Cultural History From Mozart to Rammstein.” We learn about German history and culture through music and some poetry along with many inspiring class discussions and activities.
3:00 class ends and I head back to my dorm to relax and rest. I do some readings.
5:30 I have dinner with friends.
Evening
6:15 I work on homework before my acapella rehearsal.
7:00 I head over to the Weitz for acapella. My acapella group is called flash-mobesters acapella. We flashmob around campus – duh.
9:00 Rehearsal ends and I head to Gould Library to finish my work.
11:30 Back to room and sleep zzz
Now don’t forget to check out McKenna’s Wednesday!
