Understanding Pronto Mail Terms

This chapter contains the following terms:

Mail server - the system from which Pronto Mail downloads your incoming mail. This system is also referred to as the POP3 mail server, because the server needs to be running POP3 (Post Office Protocol3).

SMTP server - the system to which your workstation connects when it has outgoing mail to send.

System folder - a folder Pronto Mail provides. The system folders are Inbox, Draft, Sent Log, Wastebasket, and Outbox.

View mode - a mode that occurs when you view a message by double clicking the header. View mode opens a new window containing the message.
